On Monday, August 28th Mayor Joe Mengoni dedicated one of the new benches in front of the Village Hall in honor of former Village Trustee and Administrator, Guy Blemonte.

Quoting Mayor Mengoni, “Guy was more than a public servant. He was the embodiment of dedication and compassion. He understood that true leadership was not about recognition or accolades, but about lifting others up.”

This bench will stand as a lasting tribute to Guy’s life of service, kindness, and gentle strength, forever woven into the fabric of North Riverside.

Mayor Joe Mengoni honored former Village Clerk Charmaine Kutt by dedicating Village Commons Drive as honorary Charmaine Kutt Drive, recognizing her decades of service and deep commitment to the community.

“Today, we gather not simply to rename a street, but to recognize a legacy,” said Mayor Mengoni. “It is both a joy and an honor to dedicate Commons Drive to a woman whose name has become synonymous with service, dedication, and community spirit: Charmaine Kutt.

It was a touching tribute to celebrate a woman whose impact on North Riverside will be felt for generations to come.
